PPC or SEO. Which is better ?

Many online businesses who want to run an online marketing campaign are often indecisive whether to go with SEO or PPC.  We also get a no. of queries regarding which is better SEO or PPC.

Well the answer is pretty tricky. It is like asking to some one which hand is better. Left or Right. Obviously, if I am right handed person, my answer will be Right hand and If I am left handed person my answer would be left hand. Same is the case with the SEO and PPC. Both are equally valuable and it depends upon the preference of the marketer which one he choses keeping in mind his business goals and objectives.

PPC and SEO differ from each other in terms of results and business objectives.

PPC involves setting a daily budget for suggested keywords and gives to instant results. Through PPC you will immediately come to know which keyword is used by the clients mostly to visit your website and then you can increase the budget for those keywords eliminating the other keywords.

However, there are certain things associated with PPC that are equally important to keep in mind. One is the quality score for your website and the other is landing page where you customers are coming from those targeted keywords. If your quality score is not good, then you will have to pay more for every keyword, which will have a direct impact on your budget and also Google will not display your website on top of search results in ad area. The second thing is your landing page. It is imperative that your landing page has all the elements that can retain the interest of the customer in your product. It involves giving a clear cut description of your product and having a easy navigation to browse through, not to mention the good design which is always a must.

SEO is little different from PPC. It is altogether a patience game. You work on the site continuously on a per day basis and after a few months of hard work you get your website on top of search engines. The results are long lasting and every thing is organic. However, if you stop working on your site, it will again loose the ranking slowly and slowly.

So you need to chalk out the business objectives and then go for the one that fits in your business plan.
